Windows 7 too expensive upgrade

It is what Vista should have been. Unfortunately, it is a little too late and too expensive especially for those who have been burnt by Vista. Windows 7 should be provided as free upgrade to Vista or at least a very nominal fee to upgrade. Just like Mac OS Snow Leopard.
I'm unimpressed by the cost once again.

Best:

better than Vista and even XP.

Worst:

Expensive. How many versions of an operating systems does one need? Once again Microsoft attempts to extract maximum profits.
I was burnt with an expensive brick in the form of XPS 1710, Vista 64 Ultimate, which I deem as my ultimate crap!
